Stupid Banks

Got a letter today from the bank saying they are improving the security of the online banking by supplying all the customers with a card reader, the idea is great, you plug the reader into you computer, then to use online banking, you place your bank card into the reader and enter your pin code, so it works just like a cash point machine, but that's where its wrong, it doesn't work like that.

The card reader is only used when you perform certain operations such as set up a new beneficiary or a standard order, the most obvious place for this security is when logging in !!!, but no they have not implemented at that point.

So somebody could still hack there way into my bank account, they can no longer send all my money to themselves, but instead can pay everything to one of my existing beneficiaries such as British Gas and empty my account.

Yet another half arsed implementation from the bank, idiots.
